Issue 38: Spectacle
Do you sometimes feel yourself ready to lose control? by Daniel John Corbett Sanders is inspired by the throbbing bass of their local gay club. Sanders blankets Runway Issue #38, Spectacle, with a seductive, pumping beat turning Runway into a spectacle of itself and into a moment of deviance.
Daniel John Corbett Sanders lives and works in Tāmaki Makaurau, Aotearoa. Sanders works to articulate queer sensibility and sense through their site-responsive practice. Exhibitions include After Jack, Window (NZ); After Carmen, Meanwhile (NZ); Under Your Skin You Look Divine, Basement Adult Store and Sex Club (NZ); I hate you, I hate you, I hate you; I hate you because I love you, Michael Lett Gallery w/ Artspace (NZ); A Room of Our Own, Auckland Pride Festival (NZ); Fuck me 3, RM Gallery (NZ); and Fuck Me Too, Artspace (NZ). Daniel is founder of the ongoing gallery project, Placeholder (NZ).
