Paul Matereke is a Zimbabwean-Australian filmmaker and co-founder of Treason Flowers, a Sydney-based artistic collective and production company.
His recent films include Buggin Out, a tribute to Spike Lee’s 1989 Hood-Odyssey Do the Right Thing and Blue Ribbons, a lyrical tribute to Sydney Park and the community members fighting for its salvation in the wake of the WestConnex development.
Matereke’s work has been screened at SBS Australia, The Art Gallery of NSW, MCA, Antenna Film Festival, The Japan Foundation, Runway Journal, Kudos Gallery, Collab Gallery, Mothership Studios, Pink Flamingo Cinema and Golden Age Cinema.
