UA17 CLOSING PRESS RELEASE

Make or Break

Published October 2018

The UA17 Closing Press Release was created by Make or Break as part of their performance for Late at the Lab hosted by Runway in collaboration with Underbelly Arts 2017. For this performance, Make or Break reimagined Elizabeth Stanton‘s article ‘Media Release‘ published for Runway issue #21 [Expectations]. You can read Runway interviewing the collective here.

Underbelly Arts 2017 ran 7 – 8 October at the National Art School with the Opening Night Party held Friday 6 October 6 – 10pm at The National Art School, Cell Block Theatre Forbes St, Darlinghurst, 2010.

Promotional material for Underbelly Arts Lab & Festival 2017, featuring the quote It's valuable because it's expensive at the top. The page includes the event name, date, and a photo of a person in a pink dress lying on cracked red earth, with a footnote crediting Joshua Simon for the quote.
A document detailing Underbelly's audience attendance record, with 28,032 people attending. It highlights that it did not rain, and includes quotes from Nicole Kidman and others praising the event. The text is superimposed over a geometric design at the bottom.
A promotional document with a link to a highlights video and text offering Festival Highlights or recommended story ideas for journalists. It details a notable incident involving The Village People and Nicole Kidman, and an impromptu performance by a Daoist monk at Jason Phu’s shrine. The text, in black font on a white background, ends with a decorative geometric design at the bottom.
Screenshot of a newsletter article with two sections. The first section is titled 'Punter gets lost in choose-your-own adventure artwork' and recounts a festival attendee's immersive experience. The second section, 'Cell Block performances bring the house down,' describes a choir performance at a legislative building. The footer includes a call to action for contact, a company name, and an address.
