Issue 40: Caption
This is proof is an infinitely generating poem made from text snippets scraped from blogs, news sites and other webpages. In abstracting these declarations from their sources, this poem considers how belief can become embedded as fact, and creates a surreal assemblage of the convictions held by groups and individuals in the 21st century.
Hannah Jenkins is an arts writer and poet specialising in digital platforms and online writing experiments. They are the Assistant Editor of online arts publication, Running Dog, and hold a Masters of Curating and Cultural Leadership from UNSW Art & Design. Hannah’s poetry experiments have been shown in Scum Mag, Ibis House and at The Lock-Up. Their writing can be found in Overland, Running Dog, The Lifted Brow and much more.
