In response to The Second Coming (debbie tucker green, 2014)
Matt Chun is an artist and writer, working between Sydney, Taipei and Bermagui (a small fishing village on Yuin country). Through drawing, painting and installation, Matt documents landscape and portrait subjects. As a writer, Matt creates short fiction, experimental travelogues and examines Australian national identity – most recently for Meanjin Quarterly.
Matt’s permanent open studio on Bermagui’s main thoroughfare offers a direct public engagement with his practice. From this space, he oversees a co-working and exhibition space, and operates a popular espresso bar.
