Denise Thwaites is a curator, writer and theorist specializing in contemporary digital arts. Her transdisciplinary research experiments with value frameworks, especially as they are re-imagined through creative engagements with emergent technologies. Denise is Assistant Professor in Digital Arts and Humanities and member of the Centre for Creative and Cultural Research at the University of Canberra. Her work has been published in Cordite Poetry Review, Meniscus Literary Journal, Artlink, Culture, Theory and Critique, Australian and New Zealand Journal of Art, Derrida Today, by Sherman Contemporary Art Foundation and the Museum of Contemporary Art Australia. She has also led and co-led curatorial projects for MoneyLab (Institute of Network Cultures, Amsterdam), Critical Animals (Newcastle), New Beginnings Refugee Culture and Arts Festival (Sydney), Firstdraft (Sydney) and Next Wave Festival (Melbourne).
