Snapcat is a collaboration between Renae Coles and Anna Dunnill involving painting, sculpture, video and participatory performance. The two artists are interested in contrasting an absurd aesthetic with an atmosphere of lament. Their ongoing themes of investigation include survival, bravery, communication methods, and social rituals. Their collaborative practice privileges colour, spectacle, cross-media art forms and a do-it-yourself attitude. Snapcat has exhibited at the Perth Institute of Contemporary Arts, Fremantle Arts Centre, free range gallery and Paper Mountain. They recently completed a commission from the Perth Public Art Foundation and are currently artists in residence at the Centre for Interdisciplinary Art in Perth.
