Mariam Arcilla is a Singaporean-Filipina writer, marketer, and curator. With a spotlight on art, fashion, and architecture, she has written stories on desert architects, provincial designers, a horror-film curator, an astronaut, and a funeral director, among others. Her text has appeared in VAULT, Art Monthly Australia, Broadsheet, Acclaim, and Real Time Arts.
As a curator and marketer, she has worked on experimental projects with the Institute of Modern Art, THE WALLS, Liquid Architecture, and Firstdraft. Mariam has a background in galleries, placemaking, and artist-run interventions, and spent her formative years on the Gold Coast, where she graduated from a BA (First Class) Honours and Bachelor of Creative Arts degree from Griffith University. Mariam currently lives and works in Sydney.
