Holly Williams is a Sydney-based curator and co-founder of the independent agency The Curators’ Department with Glenn Barkley and Ivan Muñiz Reed. Recent recent projects include the touring exhibition Creative Accounting which explores money and the economic system through contemporary art, archival materials and museum objects, Right Here Now at the Museum of Australian Democracy, the site-specific tunnel installation by Ian Burns Extended Stage, the contemporary wunderkammer,Living In The Ruins of the Twentieth Century,Trace Recordings on surveillance and portraiture in the digital age, Swedish for Argument on the ubiquitous homewares giant IKEA. She has worked across the visual arts sector including at UTS Gallery at the University of Technology, Sydney, Artbank, Christie’s Fine Art Auctioneers and at commercial galleries in Australia and New Zealand. She has been an active contributor to artist-run initiatives as a co-founding director of The Invisible Inc., a co-director of Firstdraft and with runway and MOP Projects. She completed a Masters of Visual Arts from Sydney College of the Arts, The University of Sydney in 2005 and was recently a PhD candidate in Curatorial Practice at Monash University, Melbourne with Dr. Tara McDowell.
