Elizabeth Stanton is Communications and Publications Manager at Raven Row, London. Before this, she was Programme Coordinator at The Showroom, London. From 2012 until 2015, she worked with Culture+Conflict UK as Research and Development Associate. Culture+Conflict is a not-for-profit organisation supporting artists working in conflict and post-conflict situations and Elizabeth’s role focused on programming research seminars and events for C+C’s AHRC enquiry ‘Art & Conflict’, with project partners including The British Council and Goldsmiths, University of London. In 2013, alongside collaborator Katrina Schwarz, she programmed ‘The Field’ – an independent platform for exhibitions, commissions, publications and conversation. She moved to London from Sydney in 2010 to complete her MA in Curating Contemporary Art at the Royal College of Art, graduating with the co-curated exhibition ‘Ritual without Myth’ in 2012.
From 2008 to 2010 Elizabeth was project coordinator for ARTCELL curatorial and collections management, Sydney. Before this, she was communications manager at the Australian Centre for Photography, exhibition manager for the SafARI Biennale (2008 – 2010) and has worked for Australian Galleries (Sydney) and the sector advocacy body, Museums & Galleries NSW. As a writer she has contributed to the publications Art Monthly Australia, Art Collector, RCA Inspire (Online), Das Superpaper, Runway, Art Guide Australia, and she was a critic in residence for the inaugural Art Month Sydney in 2010.
