Siân McIntyre is a Sydney based artist and curator and recent MFA graduate from UNSW Art and Design. Currently Directing Verge Gallery, Sydney, Siân was also a Co-Founding Director of The Paper Mill project space in Sydney’s CBD. Siân has exhibited in Sydney, New York, Glasgow, San Francisco, Sweden and Darwin. Her curatorial and fine art practice is based on social engagement and is informed by intermittent work at Papunya Tjupi Arts, NT. In 2013 she undertook a practicum exchange placement at Glasgow School of Arts where she was inspired by the critical dialogue and public programs provided by small galleries. Her future projects aim to introduce this model of creative platforms and critical conversation into a range of spaces.
